"The family, as we have traditionally known it, is such a refuge of safety. When true values and basic virtues undergird the families of society, hope will conquer despair, and faith will triumph over doubt". President Thomas S. Monson

Just an Everyday Sunday
Here we are just haning out on a Sunday afternoon after church. I love quality time spent with my family. This time we happened to get some cute pics of the kids being silly and cute.
Madison had been addicted to my hair since she was born. It has been her comfort, rather then a blanket or a dolly. She does this when she has her pacifier. It's like the two go together. She likes the way it feels on her face, but she sometimes even puts in in her ear. Weird... I know.. lol. Now that her hair is getting longer she will sometimes use her own, but not when mom is so close.

Fun cooking in the Kitchen
A Kitchen Aid!!! YES!! The perfect gift from David on our Anniversary!
He knew just what I wanted. I got it just before the girls came to visit.
So it was just in time for us to cook and bake things together in the kitchen. These are moments that I treasure with my girls that have been growing right before my eyes. I feel I need to teach them as much as I can while they are here in the short time. Plus, kitchen time is quality time spent with my daughters as we cook, and bake to keep and remember old traditions, and of course to make new ones.

Briana and Alicia weaning the bread. I love the smell of fresh homemade bread in my home.
David cutting the turkey.
The table.... and the yummy food.
After Thanksgiving. The girls and I went shopping on black Friday. Something I don't normally do. It gets pretty crazy everywhere. We just went to Walmart at 12am in the morning, and didn't get home til almost 4am. The girls were so excited. We did find some really good deals.

Hikes and Waterfall Adventures
We went on a a lot of hikes this summer. We have so many that are so close to home. 3 of the hikes were up to waterfalls. Utah is such a beautiful state. We are so blessed to live here and enjoy the magnificent beauties of the earth that the Lord has created. It it truly marvelous.

It was a little chilly

the girls climbing up the rocks
Madison met a Doggy. She just loves animals. She gets so excited when she sees them.
Dave being funny while trying to take a picture.
We ran out of water on the way back and we all couldn't wait to have lunch. So we stopped at the Subway at the bottom of the canyon. Ahh, so refreshing. This was a great hike, with beautiful views. Great for all the family, so we will definitly be doing this again.

It was a bit cold.... but Madison still loved playing in the water.

Addy like throwing rocks in the water.

On our way up the trail there was a dead snake. Umm where is the head?

Stewart Falls, off the Alpine Loop
This was such a pretty trail. It's nice to have most of the trail shaded with the weather so hot. This was our first time to Stewart Falls.
