"The family, as we have traditionally known it, is such a refuge of safety. When true values and basic virtues undergird the families of society, hope will conquer despair, and faith will triumph over doubt". President Thomas S. Monson

Christmas 2010

Since I am really behind in updating my blog. I am not going to post all of my pics that we have for Christmas. There are just too many. So here is a picture of Addy with Santa. She was told she had been a good girl this year. So she asked him for a Rapunzel tower for Christmas. Madison didn't want to sit on Santa's Lap this year. She was a bit scared. So I didn't get a picture. Hopefully next year she will do better.

This was Christmas morning. They saw that the cookies and milk were gone. But we waited til Daddy got off work to open the presents.

July 4th Celebrations

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Here are some highlights of how we celebrated 4th of July weekend. With so many different hairstyles we like to try for the holidays, I thought this one was so adorable, I just had to try it on Addy. She has always asked me to do a star instead of hearts in her hair. So she was pretty happy I could finally do one. YAY!

Us at the Provo Festival Parade. This was our first time to see it. It was a really hot day, so many people, and the parade was good.

My hunny at the barbecue. Cooking up some hamburgers, hot dogs and shrimp.
Addy waiting to eat
Me and Briana making some red white and blue hearts. It was a shame we didn't have star cookie cutters. Those would have looked ten times better.

Now for some fireworks. We always light them in front of our house while we watch the big ones go off from the JR. high.
Madison likes the fireworks, Addy prefers the big ones in the sky.

Pioneer Day

Pioneer Day is a holiday celebrated here in Utah on July 24th. A second 4th of July to us. We usually do something fun on this day. So we took the kids to Boondocks to play some miniature golf and some other fun things there. This was Addy's first time playing miniature golf. Despite that it was a hot day...we all had a lot of fun. Addy getting the ball ready.
Daddy helped out alot
It's in!!Addy getting her ball out and off to the next hole.
Here she is trying to do it by herself.
got this one as it fell in.
Everyone watching Alicia. She took forever at this hole. About 10 times before she finally got it, we were just laughing. She did better after that.
The finish! Unfortunately she didn't get a hole in one. =( Dave I think was the only one that did.
Alright ski ball! I use to love this game. Still kinda hard for her, but she loved it.
The girls on the bumper boats.
I just love her face.
We all played Air hockey
Addy really liked this game. She played really good too. She still was a little short, so Dave had to hold her up.
In the evening we went to our friends for food, fun and entertainment. Our friends the Munoas always have a get together at their house on this day. Is always nice to see our friends and that they do this every year.
The whole crew playing a game. It was Jason's turn to act out famous people we wrote on slips of paper. Cool fun.
Dave lighting the fireworks. All the boys do this together. So we get a lot going at the same time.
Most of the kids sat on the porch, since it was sprinkling a bit. They were all playing with their glow necklaces.
Happy Pioneer Day!

4th of July

This fourth of July we celebrated at our house with a BBQ, cooling down on our slide, and of course fireworks. The day before we celebrated at the Hausers who hold their traditional cul-de-sac fire work spectacular. They even had a young women in their ward who had an amazing voice sing the national anthem before they let them off. It was a pretty good show, I was disappointed I forgot my camera.
Here is my handsome hubby preparing delicious hamburgers. Dang were they good! Good job honey. Addy came out to help daddy. getting wet!jumping with excitement
head first
Firework time! They did have a firework show at the Jr. high, and we can see it from our house, but the girls preferred to light off our own at home. They always have fun doing that instead.
Addy loved the sparklers.
The girls with their sparklers... cool that the camera created this effect in the picture.
Briana and her ring of fire. =)Me and Addy watching the fireworks the girls set up. We had a fun family day. I wasn't able to get any pictures of Madison, she was sleeping, and I forgot to take others in the day. Hope everyone had a great 4th.
