"The family, as we have traditionally known it, is such a refuge of safety. When true values and basic virtues undergird the families of society, hope will conquer despair, and faith will triumph over doubt". President Thomas S. Monson

July 4th Celebrations

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Here are some highlights of how we celebrated 4th of July weekend. With so many different hairstyles we like to try for the holidays, I thought this one was so adorable, I just had to try it on Addy. She has always asked me to do a star instead of hearts in her hair. So she was pretty happy I could finally do one. YAY!

Us at the Provo Festival Parade. This was our first time to see it. It was a really hot day, so many people, and the parade was good.

My hunny at the barbecue. Cooking up some hamburgers, hot dogs and shrimp.
Addy waiting to eat
Me and Briana making some red white and blue hearts. It was a shame we didn't have star cookie cutters. Those would have looked ten times better.

Now for some fireworks. We always light them in front of our house while we watch the big ones go off from the JR. high.
Madison likes the fireworks, Addy prefers the big ones in the sky.

Having fun making hair

I love all the different hairstyles i can do with the girls. This is Briana's thing, I really think beauty school would be perfect for her. We practice on each other and on Addy trying all the different ones. You can check them all out at the Hairstyles for girls website. There is a link button on my blog. Lots of fun and way cute. We get lots of compliments while we are out.

Briana did a good job on mine.

I didn't get to finish Briana's. But she kinda liked this look anyway. Girls camp was the next day so I was preparing dinner and helping them get ready for that.
Here is Addy in her cute little Snow White costume. She loves dressing up now. She said she looked like a different girl with her hair this way, so she wanted to put a dress on so she can look like a princess.
She now has 2 snow white dresses, 1 Aurora, 3 tinker bells, barbie, and mulan. Next she says she wants Cinderella, and Belle. She is so funny when she spins around in them and she usually will ask to put the same movie on of the dress she is wearing.

Cute hairstyles

I have been having fun with hair! LOL. I found this website that shares cute girls hairstyles. http://www.cutegirlshairstyles.com/They show you step by step on how to do them. They are easy and only take up to 5 minutes. Well... for most of them. We have been trying to do different ones for the different occasions...and it has been fun. I am so happy to have girls!
I really like this one right now, it is so cute with the ribbon added to the braid. And I love the messy bun. This hairstyle is so quick and easy for me, and stays in all day. Love it!
I love this clover for St Patricks Day. It is way cute. But it doesn't stay as well as the others.
Here is another version of the one on top.But I just added the green ribbon for a St.Patricks Day hairdo. Plus Green is Adelynn's favorite color.
This is one we did around Valetines Day.

Loved this one. And everyone else did too. She got alot of compliments at church. Since Valentines was on a sunday, she asked to have two hearts for Valentines Day. We don't have that much time getting ready in themorning for church since we have church early right now. But this is a really quick one,and it stays in all day.
Fun, easy and cute. Stays in all day. This is one of the first ones I tried from the website.
