"The family, as we have traditionally known it, is such a refuge of safety. When true values and basic virtues undergird the families of society, hope will conquer despair, and faith will triumph over doubt". President Thomas S. Monson

FHE at the Bunns house

Monday nights are set apart for Family Home Evening. And this Monday night we got to spent it with some of our ward family. It was so nice of our next door neighbors to invite us over to there house for some swimming in ther new pool. Two others familes were also invited, The Johnson's and the Grange's. The Johnson girls are the same age's of Alicia and Briana, and they all are like best friends. The Grange's have a little girl Addy's age that is in her Sunbeam class. The Bunn's planned everything very well for all the kids to have a great time. The 4 girls said.... how did they know we are all best friends? lol. Isn't it obvious. We stayed til it got dark.

Alicia and Madison
Addy swiming on her own. It was so hard to get out of the water. When it was time to go home she wasn't too happy. She loves the pool.

Petal Party

I had seen this idea on a website I visit most often called http://www.howdoesshe.com/petal-party. Love this website, they always have the cutest ideas. So several of us girlfriends gathered at my house for a "Ladies night out". Everyone brought their own bunches of flowers. We all made about 10 of the same flowers and then exchanged one with another at the end of the party, so we don't end up with 10 of the same flower clip. We all each ended up with different flowers to take home, just like the picture.
The girls were here for Spring break, and every time I think to do something fun when they are here. They had brought their friend Brittany, and we might of burned ourselves a few times with the glue gun, but it was all great fun and laughs. The party turned out great and the flowers clips were all way cute. I will definitely host another one of these.

Relief Society Conference

This October I had the opportunity to attend The Relief Society Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Me and three of my lady friends headed out for Salt Lake City that night for an evening filled with inspiration and enjoyment. In front of the Conference Center with my three good friends.Us in our seats early waiting for it to start.... and taking pictures =)I am so very grateful for the Relief Society Program. It has inspired me to be a better wife, mother, friend, neighbor and person to all that I know. It has helped me understand my importance as I go through this life, that I am a precious daughter of my Heavenly Father who loves me.

Pioneer Day

Pioneer Day is a holiday celebrated here in Utah on July 24th. A second 4th of July to us. We usually do something fun on this day. So we took the kids to Boondocks to play some miniature golf and some other fun things there. This was Addy's first time playing miniature golf. Despite that it was a hot day...we all had a lot of fun. Addy getting the ball ready.
Daddy helped out alot
It's in!!Addy getting her ball out and off to the next hole.
Here she is trying to do it by herself.
got this one as it fell in.
Everyone watching Alicia. She took forever at this hole. About 10 times before she finally got it, we were just laughing. She did better after that.
The finish! Unfortunately she didn't get a hole in one. =( Dave I think was the only one that did.
Alright ski ball! I use to love this game. Still kinda hard for her, but she loved it.
The girls on the bumper boats.
I just love her face.
We all played Air hockey
Addy really liked this game. She played really good too. She still was a little short, so Dave had to hold her up.
In the evening we went to our friends for food, fun and entertainment. Our friends the Munoas always have a get together at their house on this day. Is always nice to see our friends and that they do this every year.
The whole crew playing a game. It was Jason's turn to act out famous people we wrote on slips of paper. Cool fun.
Dave lighting the fireworks. All the boys do this together. So we get a lot going at the same time.
Most of the kids sat on the porch, since it was sprinkling a bit. They were all playing with their glow necklaces.
Happy Pioneer Day!

Halloween

On Halloween we went to a block party that our neighbors have been throwing every year before we Trick or Treat. Everyone brings something to share, and we sit, eat, and mingle before we take the kids out. Mommy and Addy
Addy kicking back on the grass. Her costume seemed a bit bulky for her to sit still.
When we got back to the house Dave had taken Addy trick or treating, while I stayed home to pass out candy. We had a lot of trick or treaters. Last year I ran out of candy, but I made sure I stocked up enough this time. After an hour or so, Dave and Addy came back, and she was excited to tell me that she had a good time. She couldn't wait to go back out again. Sorry I don't have pictures of her trick or treating.

After we went trick or treating another one of our friends was having a party. They had lots of games and stuff for the kids. Here is Addy playing one the games that she just loved, "the spider web" she had to throw Velcro balls to get them to stick. She did pretty good. We had a fun time.

Hannah Montana in 3D

The girls like having late nights with their friends. This night happened to be the Hannah Montana "Best of Both Worlds"concert in 3D. This was the only night that it was showing on the Disney Channel. They all looked funny with the 3D glasses, as if they were at the movies. They made popcorn, candy, and glow in the dark necklaces and braclets. What fun!

Pioneer Day

A second 4th of July for us here in Utah. The first Trek of people to this Valley in 1847 is described by historians as one of the great epics of United States History. It shows persons enduring trials and heartaches with courage and with faith in God. Like the pioneers, we can endure our trials and heartaches through courage and through faith in God. Our guide for each of us in this earthlife journey is the Lord Jesus Christ, who literally pioneered the way for all of us to follow. This day is an expression of remembrance, appreciation, and thanksgiving.
Addy, Dave and I had gone to our friends (Adam and Cristy's) house to spend the holiday. This was our 2nd year spending it with them, and like always, they know how to give a good party. Great food and entertainment. Here are some pictures of the evening.
Here is a cute pic of Addy playing in the little car.

Addy loved the trampoline. She did pretty well even with all the bigger kids jumping.

She also liked the Bouncer. Here she is getting air. After dinner, the guys had a Pie Eating contest. It was pretty gross, but really funny. Joe on the far right was the winner. The prize.... Movie Tickets.
Here are some of the kids doing Glow in the dark sticks.
I made three bracelet's for Addy. She thought they were so cool. Here is Dave playing with her. The firework display that they had in the front yard was awesome. They had even the big ones. It was cool. Dave and Addy watching. It was funny when she said fireworks, then, when they finished with one, she say " all done" clapped and said "go home, yeah, see Sam" I think it was because she was tired, and wanted to go to bed because she fell asleep within 5 minutes after that. We were surprised with all the noise that continued, that she even stayed asleep. We missed the girls this evening, they were at Young Women's camp for the week. But I am sure they were having lots of fun anyway. We had a great evening with all of our friends.
