"The family, as we have traditionally known it, is such a refuge of safety. When true values and basic virtues undergird the families of society, hope will conquer despair, and faith will triumph over doubt". President Thomas S. Monson

Homestead Crater

Homestead is a resort in Midvale, about 40 minutes from where we live and down Provo Canyon. The Crater is a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock that nature has hollowed out and filled with 90° to 96° water. You can swim, snorkel or scuba dive inside the water. We decided to just go swimming in it. It was a bit scary at first, since some of us don't like the feeling of not be able to see underneath you in the water. It took some time to get use to it, but we all had fun. It was a cool new experience for all of us. Dave stayed home to watch our little ones. They are not quite old yet to take along this kinda adventure. Hopefully next time. Here is what you see from the deck looking up. All of us before we went into the water.
Me, The first one in.

The girls would freak out if they felt something on their legs. Like if something was in the water. But there are no fish in this water at all.
There were spots you could sit, kinda like a jacuzzi, but without the jets.
